Там другие проблемы:
1. Python должен быть 2.0, с 2.1 есть глюки - не разбирался.
2. Для его работы необходима библиотека

You need mimelib 0.2 or better. mimelib will eventually be bundled with
Mailman 2.1 and may even become part of the Python 2.2 distribution.
Но сейчас уже версия 0.3 (несовместимая по вызовам). Поэтому брать надо 0.2
3. Введена языковая поддержка maillist'ов (т.е. пользователь может указать
на каком языке ему получать служебные сообщения). Но это требует update
текущих листов. Там надо внимательно и аккуратно это делать.
