Вот возник такой вопрос: стоит ли загружать модули type1 и freetype в
сервер XFree-4, если все равно используется xfs для всех шрифтов? Сейчас
попробовал закомментировать их в XF86Config-4 - все шрифты на месте, в KDE
антиалиасинг работает. Или все-таки в некоторых случаях эти модули
понадобятся, даже если все шрифты берутся через xfs?

Это модули используются для рендеринга шрифтов. Другое дело, что сейчас очень
многие модули грузятся автоматически, on demand.
