После установки Spring 2001 решил, наконец, восстановить фунционирование
PowerChutePlus, поддерживающего работу UPS Smart-1400. Не тут-то было.
Сталкиваюсь со странной проблемой. При запуске
/usr/lib/powerchute/xpowerchute с правами root программа упорно считает,
что я неверно ввожу пароль. Пробовал заводить нового пользователя в группе
pwrchute, менять права для него на вышеуказанный раздел. Тот же
отрицательный результат. Теперь не принимается пароль пользователя, хотя в
соседнем терминале я могу набрать su "user" и войти с его паролем.
Очевидно, что при наборе пароля я не ошибаюсь.
Где мне искать следы конфликта?
