У меня стоит synaptic. В нем нет массы того, что есть в rpmdrake -- древовиндого представления как минимум.
Кроме того, насколько это было удобно в rpmdrake -- проставляем галочки на ненужных пакетах, uninstall selected и все.

Вот дерево действительно нужно!

в синаптике проставляем галочки "remove" на ненужных пакетах, галочки "upgrade" ("install") на нужных и нажимаем proceed.
Столь же удобно.
