На подобии maple - нет, на подобии MatLab - octave.
В принципе можете взглянуть на
http://www.ma.utexas.edu/users/wfs/maxima.html
Это свободная программа для символьных вычислений.
Еще посмотрите
http://chpc06.ch.unito.it/linux/sal1.shtml
там можно и ссылку на MatLab найти (где купить, в смысле).
Еще очень не плохо работает Mathematica-4.0, хотя, если не пиратская, то
очень дорогая.
