Попробуйте playavi. Попробуйте прикрутить драйверы от nVidia...
У меня K6-III-450 (правда Matrox), однако DivX-ы я смотрю без каких-либо проблем.
Для nVidia кажется (не уверен) не будет акселерации изображения, но мощьность процессора
должна покрыть разницу...

Да, тормоза заметные, P-III 450, GeForce2 GTS 32Mb

Не покрывает, хотя больше ничего не запущено, только playavi. Причем
пересборка с --target=i686 не помогла.
