Канэшна.
Сходить в /etc/sysconfig/harddisk
создать файл hda
и вписать в него
EIDE_32BIT=1
У меня правда вписано
MULTIPLE_IO=16
EIDE_32BIT=3
EXTRA_PARAMS=-u1
Но будьте осторожны, усердием в тонкой подстройке IDE можно пристрелить систему.
Для CD-ROM сие не работает, делается примерно так:
/etc/rc.d/scripts/idetune
После [ -x "$HDPARM" ] || exit 0
добавим $HDPARM -<параметры> /dev/<где-он-там>
