3c905b/c сама по себе определяется, работает - только шляпу держи...
В дистрибутиве есть 2 альтернативных модуля/драйвера 3c59x и 3c90x, подходят оба, оба
работают хорошо.
Возможна проблема при поднятии интерфейса, если карта стоит на автодетекте 10/100 и дуплекса,
причём на "той стороне" кабеля - нечто китайское.
В этом случае лучше "зашить" в карту скорость сети и дуплекс.
У меня 3c905b работает абсолютно без проблем....
