А вот извините. PostgreSQL я вчера запустил простым и тривиальным способом:
1. Меняешь shell для пользователя postgres на /bin/bash
Это нужно еще и для того чтобы создать PostgreSQL пользователей
2. su - postgres
initdb
exit
3. /etc/init.d/postgresql start
4. su - postgres
createuser <имя>
Далее не интересно.
Кстати о PostgreSQL: Вчера положили RC4 в ftp.postgresql.org:/pub/v7.1
и сказали, что если багов не будет до 13 апреля, то это будет релиз.
