Если какая-то программа (типа esd) будет при запуске интересоваться наличием драйвера ALSA - так и будет лезть. Вообще-то можно в /etc/conf.modules написать alias char-major-116 off, чтобы не сорил в логи. Ну и для других ненужных модулей, которые где-то запрашиваются.
