Подправил lilo.conf без изменения загрузочной области.
$ reboot...
стартуем по-новой
...skip...
/dev/hd? maksimum mount count riched. check forceed
...skip...
gpm поймал oops (у меня usb mouse была зашита в старое ядро)
и... опаньки!
mount /mnt/Logic
only root can mount /dev/hdb1
Умные софтины сказали, что /dev/hdb1 у меня имеет тип файловой системы 0В

Я чуть не поперхнулся от такой лжи.
