Надежна в смысле взлома или каких-то проблем?
Против взлома есть SSL-авторизация, 128-битные ключи и брандмауэры.
А неустойчивостей АКА проблем не должно быть никаких. Во всяком
случае, миллионы работают с БД через браузеры и ругаются меньше, чем
на оффтопик 95/98/2000 :)
