Вот как раз поэтому и не порвёт. Рассылку я получаю очень давно. И
очень хорошо видно, что сейчас (в отличие от "раньше") почти на любой
вопрос или предложение что-то подкрутить следует в 95% случаев ответ
из серии "ну так сам и сделай, помоги сообществу".
Любой дистрибутив, действительно, силён по большей части только
своим сообществом - ибо всё компилируется из исходников изначально,
проблемы именно в совместном использовании всего, что получается в
результате компиляции (в этом смысле я вообще предпочитаю идеологию
портов во FreeBSD, но здесь не об этом речь).
Есть сильное ощущение, что основная движущая сила из Альт-а
исчезла - и занимается другими делами. Это не хорошо и не плохо - это
нормально.
Просто истинное качество дистрибутива и концепции определяется
количеством довольных пользователей.
