Да вроде все в порядке, все на месте.
Но в итоге обнаружил такую странную вещь: если в /e/s/framebuffer
установлен MODE, проходит установка режима фреймбуфера _и_ подгрузка
фонта. Если MODE закомментирован, естественно, режим не
устанавливается, но _и фонт не подгружается_, что кажется достаточно
странным.
Причем у меня deja vu: где-то я уже с таким сталкивался (не то в
Мандрейк, не то в каком-то из ранних ALT), подивился, но разбираться
не стал.
На всякий случай: фреймбуфер matroxfb, модуль грузится принудительно.
