По поводу кривости дистрибутивов это Вы лихо!!!
Стабильность зависит от рук установщика, кривости железа И СОФТА и погоды на
марсе :) (хотя последний фактор ближе к другим OS :) ).
У нас в конторе работают и asp и пляпа и debian и alt и еще чего только не работает :).
Чесно говоря про глюки, нестабильность речи не шло не на одном дистре (железо не
левое и руки в порядке).
А какой выбрать это решать Вам. А грязью поливать мягко говоря нехорошо. У каждого дистра свой юзер.
Сам Я выбрал alt как НАДЕЖНУЮ и одновременно СБАЛАНСИРОВАННУЮ СИСТЕМУ
почти полностью меня устраиваюшую, и перешел между прочем со шляпы.
Пробовал и asp, но неудобный он какой-то (IMHO!!!)
