Попробовал, посмотрел на ошибки...
Понял - чтото с юзером, поскольку он мне недает
вообще ничего сделать под news. Даже в тех каталогах
которые по определению "его".
Вообщем все заработало когда:
rpm -e inn
грохнул юзера news
создал заново юзера news с его группой
инстальнул inn
выставил свои настройки.
