Поискал поиском, вывод под альт 2.4 есть пакет nut.
причем у многих людей работает с Powercom.
/etc/nut/upsd.conf
ACL all 0.0.0.0/0
ACL localhost 127.0.0.1/32
ACCEPT localhost
REJECT all
[root@linux2 nut]# service upsd start
[root@linux2 nut]# service upsd status
upsd is stopped
[root@linux2 nut]# rpm -qa|grep nut
nut-2.0.0-alt2
nut-driver-2.0.0-alt2
binutils-2.15.90.0.3-alt3
libgnutls-1.0.10-alt1
nut-server-2.0.0-alt2
/etc/nut/ups.conf
[powercom]
driver = powercom
port = /dev/ttyS0
desc = "Linux2"
type = "KP625AP"
