Эт-та точно, все тлен, суета сует и духа томленье..:)

Честно говоря, сильно подозреваю, что в первую очередь это
зависит от самого pdf'а. Не проверял под Lin, но под вин из одних
pdf'ов примеры программные без проблем выдираются, а из других --
фигушки:(
