У меня примерно то же самое с CDROM Acer.

hdd: No additional sense data
Чипсет VIA Apollo Pro 133A, раньше был Apollo Pro Plus, такого не
было. Ядро 2.2.18 (там включена поддержка чипсетов VIA?)
