перспектив Mira. Если кто случайно не слышал, то это такие
работающие на PocketPC.Net дисплеи, которые связываются с писюком
по 802.11b и позволяют наслаждаться работающей "где-то там" Win
XP лежа на диване и бродя по квартире/оффису:) Помимо такого
применения я, например, крайне высоко оцениваю перспективы
подобных устройств в медицине (той, у которой есть деньги,
естественно).

Я бы хотел обратить внимание на следующее: заложенное в Win XP
ограничение на одного пользователя! Т.е. до 2003-2004 года MS не
предполагает превращения домашних писюков в мини-серверы. Про то,
можно ли будет с помощью Mira-устройств подключаться к
терминальному серверу -- ничего не говориться, но, думаю, что или
да, или очень скоро да.
С другой стороны, unix-подобные системы позволяют это делать (ну,
не обязательно с PocketPC.Net:) уже сейчас. Интересно, кто-нибудь
знает о серьезных (желательно, с поддержкой серьезного
"железаделанья") разработках в этой области: т.е. переносных
беспроводных тачскринах +- беспроводная клавиатура для работы со,
скажем, KDE на, скажем, Linux-машине? Чтобы нескольким людям
можно было ходить по зданию и работать с рабочей станцией /
сервером / кластером серверов / подлежащей сетью?
Надеюсь, я понятно выразился:)
