Я тоже как-то что-то настраивал и в итоге стал скринсейвер
запускаться, только не KDE'шный, а иксовый - xscreensaver. Глянул
в /home при помощи ls -A и увидел скрытый файл .xscreensaver
Удалил и все встало на свои места. Но это был не KDE'шный
скринсейвер.
Индивидуальные настройки KDE храянтся в ~/.kde, а там
куча директорий. Попробуйте поискать там файл с именем
creensaver (или подобным) или подобную строчку прям в этих
текстовых файлах:
$ grep -Ri screensaver .kde/*
--
