По моему мнению (в данном вопросе, увы, достаточному, чтобы
делать какие-то выводы) в системе Win32 либо не должно быть
IDE устройств на первых 4 каналах (даже CD-ROM нежелателен),
либо должОн быть диск C:
Посмотрите отладчиком приватную область данных модуля
KERNEL32 (нет, Вы возьмите и посмотрите:) -- вы увидите
мечты найти свежий диск С, отформатировать в один большой
раздел и установиться на него:)
