Прошу прощения за off topic, но спросить больше некого.
Есть подключённый к выделенке компьютер под управлением какой-то
древней Красной шапки (~7.0), через который осуществляется выход в
интернет нескольким ppp-клиентам,. Некоторое время назад у
ppp-клиентов перестали резолвится адреса (на упомянутом компьютере
dns'а нет), на одном из клиентов (WinXP) помогло явное указание в
параметрах ppp-соединения адресов DNS внешнего провайдера, но такая же
запись в 98х не помогает. Самое странное, что до клиентов эта проблема
дошла не сразу до всех, а по очереди, причём через большие промежутки
времени, последним ударом послужил сбой электропитания и последующая
перегрузка. Вопросов к уважаемому сообществу у меня два:
1. Что отвечает за передачу адресов dns ppp-клиентам, как
проконтролировать этот процесс?
2. Может всё-таки что-то в Виндах можно подкрутить пока решается
вопрос с сервером, есть ли в 98х аналог resolv.conf?
К сожалению прямого пути к администрированию этого компьютера я не
имею, но оказать какое-то давление могу, но "давить" надо конкретно:
типа "подправить то-то и там-то"...
