Ни один из знакомых мне переводчиков (кроме программистов по
совместительству) даже не знает, что это всё такое. Мне реально знакомо
только слово "cvs".
Для переводов есть несколько другие средства, так как для технических
переводов нет смысла хранить только сами переведенные документы. Хранить
и накапливать надо базы соответствия отдельных мелких кусочков текстов и
их переводов, а также глоссарии и словари. Финальный перевод строится
автоматически из этих баз.
Это немного похоже на gettext с его .po файлами.
