Уважаемые знатоки!
Все мы, софтописатели, движемся в сторону i18n и платформонезависимых
протоколов. В самбе, например, есть конфигурация кодировки клиента,
дабы всем виндам было хорошо.
Понемногу решается проблема кодировок в архиваторах -- версия zip,
перекодирующая названия, пробегала в рассылке oo-discuss@openoffice.ru
Кто в курсе, как решается подобная проблема в FTP и CVS? Ведь если
создаешь в виндовом клиенте файл с русским названием, он как есть
создаётся на сервере, без перекодировки из 1251. Есть ли серверные
решения в этом направлении? Ну или клиентские?

В плане CVS - заменой на subversion (который и прямее, и насквозь весь
UTFный)
