А так же, как DVD+R.
В Сизифе cdrecord кастрированный, без возможности записи DVD.
Причин кастрации я понять не могу - логике не поддаётся.
cdrtools-ossdvd, собранные для Alt я держу тут (всё GPL, есс-но):

Т.е. можно взять пакет из сизифа и собрать с данным спеком и патчем
Можно rpm, можно - src.rpm.

P.S. бинарник ставится есс-но "rpm -Uvh bla-bla-bla"
