Не хочется лишать Вас удовольствия, но пакеты можно и лучше
устанавливать apt-get install <название_пакета>. Причём все эти цифирки
перед .rpm совершенно не надо писать; просто название. АПТ отслеживает
все связи и говорит, что он ещё доставит, чтобы "костюмчик сидел". Если
хотите что найти - apt-cache search <имя_пакета> и Вам выдаст инф. о
пакете. На 1 диске в Doc есть отличное и достаточное описание работы с
apt, по сранению с которым работа rpm -ivh //// вполне может напоминать
упомянутый Вами процесс.
