Прописал, не помогло. Теперь ошибка стала такая
L 01 01 01 01 ........

Не похоже. Любые программы ее определяют. Например, лилошная тест-дискетка.
Я прописывал так:
disk=/dev/sda bios=0x80 heads=... sectors=...
disk=/dev/hda bios=0x81
