Здравствуйте!
Решил попробовать перейти на ALTLinux.
Начинаю изучать, но есть вопросы...
вот решил изучить возможность установки squid из сизифа
на свою систему. ее из сизифа обновлять не хочу.
squid говорит хочу пакет service.
#apt-get install service
предлагает скачать кучу пакетов на 27 MByte.
Это действительно единственный правильный метод????
Качать 27 метров, чтобы установить пакетик размером в 41 кбайт????
Или как-то можно обойти это?
Я уверен в squid-2.5.STABLE4, но у меня нет желания ставить 13
пакетов и обновлять 47. Я не хочу разбираться в том, какие изменения
несут в себе эти новые и может быть неоттестированные до конца
пакеты!!!! В итоге я могу получить кучу проблем в этих новых
пакетах!!!

другая сторона dll-hell???
выход: компилить из исходников?
