Все понял - сам прыгал вокруг пароля почти полдня.
В общем так: после того как Evolution запустится, кликнуть на Входящие.
В меню Инструменты->Установки почты->Добавить
Вводим все данные, не забыв поставить галку Запомнить пароль и
Использовать по умолчанию, после этого он все-таки спрашивает пароль - и
все, осталось только удалить первый аккаунт, созданный при первом
запуске.
По-моему осталось только кликнуть Просмотр->Строка папки.
