kernel-up-2.4.9-alt4
alsa2.4-up-2.4.9_0.5.11
звуковая карта intel 810 AC97 (встроенная)
При проигрывании звуковых файлов (mp3), скорость воспроизведения
быстрее чем надо, на слух примерно на 15% пробовал разные файлы с разной частотой
дискретизации.
С чем это может быть связано ?

Видимо у Вас кодек заточен _только_ на 48000 Герц, а проигрываете Вы с
частотой 44100 Герц. Попробуйте указать модулю snd-card-intel8x0 параметр
snd_ac97_clock равным 44100.

У меня была такая трабла полечилась при написании в /etc/modules.conf
options snd-card-intel8x0 snd_ac97_clock=41194
