а счастья добиться не так уж и сложно
мне когда надоедает разбираться с этими проблемами я из modules и
modules.conf
сношу все упоминания относящиеся к cdr и cdrom
и в lilo.conf в параметрах пишу hdc=ide-cd hdd=ide-scsi
и никогда никаких проблем (ядра были все 2.4)
