Здравствуйте.
Возник такой вопрос. При запуске сабжа выводятся сообщения о том, что
процессор (PIII) поддерживает MMX2 и SSE, но поддержка отключена. Что это
может значить? Кем или чем отключена поддержка расширений?

Скорее всего, отключена при его сборке, дабы работало на более
младших моделях процессоров Intel и на атлонах.
Лечится самостоятельной пересборкой или просьбой к товарищу (или
к команде ALT ;-) или к кому-то из участников рассылки), дабы
пересобрали.
