Чему? Факту слета или причастности apt-cdrom'а?
Вот факты: материнская плата Gigabyte GA-6OXT, hda - Samsung SV3063H,
hdc - ASUS S520, hdd - Fujitsu MPD3064AT-EW, оба шлейфа по 80 жил, железо не
разогнано.
Добавлял диски Мастера 2.2, поставленного на hdd1, сразу же после первой
загрузки.
apt-cdrom add -> висим несколько минут, после перезагрузки - предложение
вставить загрузочную дискету. Обследование hda показало, что таблица пуста,
за исключением поля количества секторов, занимаемых четвертым разделом.
hdd смотрел fdisk'ом -> разделов нет.
Из научного интереса :) решил повторить все вторично, правда на этот раз
первый IDE-контроллер отключил в биосе. Симптомы повторились в точности,
после reset'a - предложение вставить загрузочный диск.
После выключения-включения питания все заработало.
Естественно я не утверждаю, что это проделки коварного apt-cdrom'a,
но то, что не отключив предварительно DMA на CD-ROM'е потерять
данные с винтов (по крайней мере на моем железе) более чем реально,
я убедился на собственном опыте.
P.S. В аналогичном случае Мастер 2.0, после нескольких минут у меня всегда
оживал.
