Дык я же написал, что в /lib/modules/2.4.4/kernel пусто. Откуда же он
будет insert module....

При установке MANDRAKE 7.0 не работает GRUB . Сразу после загрузки
пишет Grub Genom error. Lilo тоже не хочет работать : "Fatal : No images
have been defined or default image deesn't exist". Ставлю систему на
чистый винт. Подскажите что тут можно сделать????!!!???!

Если Вы собираете монолит, то тогда ваши модули по логике вещей должны
быть встроены в ядро.

Вы при установке правильно настраиваете LILO или GRUB?
(Там должны быть пунктики Linux -bla-bla-bla и ссылка на /boot/vmlinuz-*)
И пожалуйста, если Вы задаете вопрос, то опишите подробнее ситуацию.
Так просто трудно Вам помочь, опираясь на такой минимум информации.

сообщение "Fatal : No images have been defined or default image deesn'te
xist". прямо при установке lilo выскакивает?
тогда это просто. Надо один из пунктов сделать загружаемым по умолчанию. то
есть дважды щелкнуть по нему машью и поставить пунктик default.
У меня это было пару раз и я как то даже внимания не обращал - думал никого
такое не заденет.
