Поглядите в файл /usr/src/linux/kernel/.../Documentation/devices.txt
Там написано, char-major-4 - это устаревшие терминальные устройства, а
char-major-180 - USB. Если Вам это не нужно, то пропишите в /etc/modules.conf
строки
alias char-major-4 off
alias char-major-180 off
