Если вобще ничего не печатает - высокая вероятность, что не установлен
smbclient. Проверьте.
У меня сейчас - LEXMARK aka IBM403910R на win2000 - машине с драйвером
HP LaserJet 4 Foomatic+ljet4. Конечно, немного медленно, но работает.
Можно, впрочем, еще поэкспериментировать с драйверами, но сейчас мне скорость
не принципиальна. IMHO, *gimp-драйвера при том же разрешении работают
быстрее, но чуть хуже качеством.
Кстати, я вчера взял cups 1.1.8 из updates - поставил, он, похоже, должен
быть постабильнее (только будьте внимательны - вместо одного rpm cups их
теперь три: cups, cups-common и libcups - я не сразу это понял)
