А зачем он вообще нужен на одинокой домашней машине? Насколько
я понимаю, его основное преимущество -- разделение шрифтов в
сети. Ну, в X 3.x еще поддержка шрифтов true type (в любом
случае они мне не нужны). Вроде бы и все.
