У меня такое же положение - сейчас стоит Sisyphus, так вот ни с того ни с
сего сетевая карточка стала посылать timeout error, хотя рашьше все было
нормально, особенно после "ping -l 1000000 -f <что-то>" - 2 секунды и система
готова к употреблению :((. Да и X что-то иногда вешаются после интенсивной
работы. Даже SysRq не помогают: не синхронизируют и не перемонтируют разделы
в режим read-only. А <Alt>-<SysRq>-<O> работает :().
