Добрый день!
Пока был на больничном, довел до ума IB (FB SS из дистрибутива) на Spring.
Последняя заморочка была /etc/hosts.equivalence - как добавил localhost,
прекратились сообщения об ошибке при запуске. Теперь стартует из
/etc/rc.d/init.d/ibserver при запуске машины, перезапускается,
останавливается. На Win использую для общения с IB IBExpert - клевая вещь и
для ex-USSR бесплатная (но и стандартные тулзы из комплекта DElphi/IB все
работают). Теперь можно собственно БД заняться.
