Не далее как вчера этим (т. е. запуском IB и подключением к нему из Win2K )
занимался.
Собщение о том, что сервер не запустился по причине отказа в связи root'у и
предложение ознакомиться с логами я получил, но при этом еще поглядел на
ps -A и обнаружил там аж 6 интербейзовских процессов.
Попробовал подсоединиться к демобазе из IBExpress'a на Win2K - получилось.
Попробовал создать новую БД с нуля - получилось только в демо-разделе, ни в
своем домашнем, ни в /usr/localinterbase не получилось - видимо, нужно
разбираться с правами.
Путь к isc4_gds.gdb в IBExpress'е я указал вручную, имя/пароль -
стандартные: sysdba/masterkey
Стоит классик, я так понял, что суперсервер нужен для обращения к нему через
Веб-сервер и решил пока погодить.
Сервис при установке автоматически не прописался, добавил вручную.
Все остальное - как установилось при установке дистрибутива.
