стандартное обнлвление - это
apt-get dist-upgrade

Сам догадался. ))
Просто подумал, что великих потрясений произойти не должно,
исходя из того, что дистрибутив свежий.
Хотя да, пакетов 60 обновилось, и apache не был обойден
стороной.

Попробовал уменьшить значение параметра memory_limit до 8 Мб
в php.ini - видимого результата не принесло: apache
по-прежнему не запускается с теми же симптомами.
Ни у кого идей больше нет?
