Здравствуйте.
В дистрибутив Spring2001 входил пакет linuxconf. В Master и Junior 2.1
его нет. Возможно, в дистрибутивы входит другая программа для настройки
системы?
И еще. Прошу ответить, по каким соображениям отказались от linuxconf?

Частично это остатки drak'ов, но linuxconf уже узрел дверь.

Плохая совместимость с инфраструктурой дистро и так и не
вылеченный braindamage на тему непреклонно самодеятельности.

Как вредный и опасный.
В зависимости от того, что настраивать, есть разные программы.
Но лучшие программы настройки: man-ы и doc-и.
А по linuxconf-у почитайте архивы community
