[Comm-en] ALT Workstation 11.2

Colleagues,

We are pleased to present the key changes in ALT Workstation 11.2. The 
full list of new features is available in the 
altlinux-announce-ru@lists.altlinux.org mailing list (see link below).

Key highlights:

* GNOME 48 — an updated desktop environment featuring the new Adwaita 
fonts, notification grouping, HDR support, and Wayland improvements. The 
classic panel has been refined with minimize/maximize buttons, a hidden 
"Overview" on login, and an enlarged ArcMenu.

* The Tuner settings center now includes seven new modules: package and 
repository management (ALT Packages, ALT Components), security auditing 
(Security Check), system information (OS Info), GDM configuration, 
Firejail, and legacy application theming toggle (GLTS).

* Package management: Flatpak is now enabled by default and integrated 
with GNOME Software. ALT Components (alt-components) have been added for 
managing package sets, along with the Stapler build system and an 
optional AIDES repository.

* Containerization — a full stack is provided: Podman (rootless), the 
Pods graphical interface ("Капсулы"), the Ptyxis terminal, and Distrobox 
for running distributions in containers with full system integration.

* New applications: Weather with a panel widget, Constrict (video 
compression), Kooha (screen recording), the Apostrophe Markdown editor, 
Pins (shortcut management), Command Not Found (package installation 
hints), and kiosk-mode profiles.

* NVIDIA driver installation and updates have been simplified — 
libraries and utilities are now shipped together with the driver, and 
the kernel module no longer requires manual rebuilds.

* Upgrade from p10 to p11 — the alt-workstation-10-11-upgrade utility 
has been added to automate the transition with pre-upgrade checks and 
support for the MATE → GNOME migration scenario.
