11.2 minor release of ALT Workstation K operating system is available.

Key Changes

- The installer now provides a choice to enable LVFS (Linux Vendor 
Firmware Service) for convenient automatic BIOS and firmware updates, or 
to disable it for full manual control in critical environments.
- Snap support has been removed from the installation image, simplifying 
and stabilizing the core package management system.
- The packagekit-background service is enabled by default, 
pre-downloading packages to accelerate the system update process.
- Users in the wheel and netadmin groups can create system connections 
(Wi-Fi, VPN) for all users via the standard NetworkManager interface.
- Kdenlive now supports the universal OpenTimelineIO (OTIO) project 
format, enabling seamless collaboration with other video editors.
- Key KDE components are now safeguarded against accidental removal.


Updated Desktop Environment

The updated KDE Plasma 6 suite (Plasma 6.4, Frameworks 6.20, Gear 25.08) 
features a redesigned System Monitor:
- New "Background Services" category provides a complete overview of 
system resource usage.
- Disk Space Monitoring for all partitions, not just root and home.
- Separate GPU utilization graphs for processes running on Intel and AMD 
graphics.

Other Desktop Improvements:
- "System Information" page now includes a "Sensors" tab displaying 
real-time CPU and GPU temperatures.
- Spectacle screenshot tool now launches directly into capture mode.
- New accessibility features: mouse pointer control via the numeric 
keypad and a three-finger pinch-to-zoom gesture on touchpads (Wayland 
session).
