Если по lspci -nn это 1000:0073 или 1000:0071, требуется ядро >= 2.6.33
(commit 879111224d0784eab623fe8130a1f4481e0e1966 и соседние), либо
backport драйвера в используемое ядро. В p5 сейчас подходящих ядер нет
совсем; в Сизифе, помимо 2.6.35 (текущие std-def, un-def), годится
kernel-image-el-smp (проверил наличие ID в 2.6.32-alt11); в 5.1 есть
ядро kernel-image-ovz-rhel (тут годятся сборки >= 2.6.18-alt13 на базе
ядер из RHEL5 >= 2.6.18-164.*) и, видимо, kernel-image-el-smp.
В качестве установщика можно попробовать свежую сборку server-light c
http://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/people/rider/ с ядром std-def 2.6.35.
Из других дистрибутивов должен установиться RHEL/CentOS >= 5.4 - там в
ядрах >= 2.6.18-149.el5 есть backport драйвера medaraid_sas 4.08-RH1,
где добавлена поддержка этих контроллеров.
