Я уже не помню как я это детектил. Можно попробовать прицепить
strace к "залипшему" pop-процессу, у меня он висел на read из
10-го или 11-го дескриптора.

Там это чинили. Можно ещё убить /dev/random и сделать его
симлинком на /dev/urandom и включить APOP обратно. Тоже должно
помочь.
