Вот я, например, склонен трактовать "individual mailboxes" как содежимое
/var/spool/mail (ну или аналогичное серверное хранилище), почему я не прав?
Да, для некоторых MUA нет разницы, они могут работать прямо с
/var/spool/mail, но тогда тем более есть смысл выделения "средств
извлечения почты типа POP3/IMAP" в отдельное понятие.
