Моё rule of thumb состоит в том, что я удаляю все пакеты с названием на
kde (и просматриваю список пакетов на предмет названий на k, но не на
kernel :), оставляя только то, что требуют интересующие меня.
Собственно, apt рулит, можно грубо попытаться вынести всё "вроде бы
ненужное", и при этом проверить, что не выносится нужное.
