...которой для работы требуются COM и LPT порты, которых на
новых материнских платах уже нет. С большим трудом удалось найти плату,
у которой есть и видеовыход, и COM и LPT порт. Правда, они выведены
только на плату, поэтому из загашников пришлось доставать старые
планки, чтобы эти порты подключить. А LPT порт нужен был для
старенького сканера Mustek1200CP, потому как сканирую я раз в полгода и
новый сканер покупать смысла нет, а к COM-порту подключен модем.
Понимаю, что это анахронизм, но выделенная линия отваливается чаще, чем
телефонная, а письмо можно получить и отправить и по модему...

Так порой переезд на новое железо, особенно если он
вынужденный, хуже пожара:-(
